The 27th Annual Conference of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) – CILT(UK), Logistics Research Network (LRN), will take place from 6 to 8 September 2023 at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. Recent years have seen increasing recognition of the need for more sustainable logistics and supply chain management. 

LRN 2023 will showcase leading-edge research into all facets of sustainable logistics and supply chain management. It will provide a platform for discussion and debate among researchers, practitioners and policy makers on emerging issues.

The delegate fees includes access to the conference, refreshments over the three days; social dinner on Wednesday 7 and Conference Dinner on Thursday 8. Delegates will also benefit from a one-year subscription to the International Journal of Logistics: Research and Applications. Please note that payment must be made before the event for your place to be secured.

• You will receive joining instructions for the event 7 days before which will include the programme of papers being presented.
• The PhD Workshop will begin at 09.30* hrs on Wednesday 6 September and conclude at 12.30
• The Conference will begin with lunch at 12.30 on Wednesday 6 September and conclude at 13.00 with lunch on Friday 8 September.
• The conference will be held in the James Watt Building on the Heriot-Watt campus (Building 1 on the map.)
• The Wednesday evening social dinner will be held within the Edinburgh Business School, from 19.00 (Building 4 on the map)
• The Thursday Conference Dinner will be held on Thursday 7 September, from 19.00 at The Gorgie Suite, Tynecastle Park, McLeod Street, Edinburgh, EH11 2NL.
• Delegates staying in Edinburgh city centre, or around the Haymarket area, both are accessible on the 25 bus route – around £2.80 per journey. There is also a stop outside Tynecastle for Thursday dinner and the route terminates directly outside the Business School on the Heriot-Watt campus.
